:: Starburst center medallion in large scale format with center inscription panel signature cartouche. Floral arabesques are inwardly directed outlining the corner spandrels. Main border in a meandering vine and blossom design motif. Very unusual in size, type, and age. Likely made to the order for a local dignitary. Colors and shades include: Ivory, dark navy blue, cochineal red, beige, sand, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Secure sides, fully secured ends. A couple of small areas of stains or tinting and bare spots on both side cord selvages. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Yezd square rug mat made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 1'4" x 1'4".
